A cell adhesion phenotype observed in the vegetative growth phase of the life cycle in which galactose-specific flocculation does not occur. Galactose-specific flocculation is the non-sexual aggregation of cells, mediated via the binding of cell wall proteins on one cell to galactose residues on the other.
