Definition
A cell morphology phenotype observed in the vegetative growth phase of the life cycle in which a single cell is inviable, and grows in the form of a lemon prior to cell death. A lemon shape is defined mathematically as having a quadric surface in three dimensions obtained by rotating less than half of a circular arc about an axis passing through the endpoints of the arc.
