Definition
A cell phenotype observed in the vegetative growth phase of the life cycle in which the localization of a protein to the mitotic spindle midzone during anaphase B does not occur. The mitotic spindle midzone is the area in the center of the mitotic spindle where the spindle microtubules from opposite poles overlap. Anaphase B is the stage of mitosis in which the polar microtubules elongate and the two poles of the spindle move farther apart.
