- A cellular process phenotype observed in the vegetative growth phase of the life cycle in which medial cortical nodes move in random directions such that they do not undergo an overall movement towards the cell center. During contractile ring assembly, medial cortical nodes normally move towards the cell center, and condense into a ring.
