- Definition
- A cell phenotype observed in the vegetative growth phase of the life cycle in which the localization of a protein to the mitotic spindle midzone during anaphase does not occur. The mitotic spindle midzone is the area in the center of the mitotic spindle where the spindle microtubules from opposite poles overlap. Anaphase is the stage of mitosis in which chromosomes separate and migrate towards the poles of the spindle.
