- Definition
- A cellular process phenotype observed in the vegetative growth phase of the life cycle in which cytoplasmic microtubule depolymerization, i.e. the removal of tubulin dimers from a cytoplasmic microtubule, does not occur at the plus end of the microtubule at the cell tip. Normally, rapid depolymerization takes place when the growing plus end of the microtubule reaches the cell tip.
