- Definition
- A cellular process phenotype in which the second meiotic nuclear division does not occur during a cycle of zygotic meiosis and sporulation. Zygotic meiosis and sporulation take place under conditions of continuous nitrogen starvation, in which haploid cells of the opposite mating types conjugate to form diploid zygotes that proceed immediately to undergo meiosis and sporulation.
