A cellular process phenotype in which meiotic DNA double-strand break resection is normal (i.e. indistinguishable from wild type). Meiotic DNA double-strand break resection is the process by which long-tract single-stranded 3'-end DNA is generated by removal of bases from a 5' end from which SPO11/Rec12-oligonucleotide complexes have been removed.
