Term summary

ID
FYPO:0006255
Name
increased level of short ribosome footprints during endoplasmic reticulum unfolded protein response
Ontology or CV name
Phenotype
Definition
A cell phenotype observed in the vegetative growth phase of the life cycle in which the distribution of ribosomal footprint lengths in a cell includes more short footprints than wild type when the cell undergoes an endoplasmic reticulum unfolded protein response (UPR). Ribosomal footprints are RNA fragments protected by the ribosome, and normally range from 28-31 nucleotides long.
