- A regulation phenotype observed in the vegetative growth phase of the life cycle in which abnormal negative regulation of the initiation of mitotic DNA replication results in one or more rounds of rereplication of the entire genome, but takes place during S phases that appear nearly normal apart from occurring without intervening mitoses. Origin usage is normal, rounds of DNA synthesis are correlated with G1/S phase gene expression and cell mass increase, and the genome is replicated evenly.
