A cellular process phenotype observed in the vegetative growth phase of the life cycle in which nucleosome occupancy is greater than normal at promoters containing one or more MluI cell cycle box factor elements (MCBs). Nucleosome occupancy measures the tendency for DNA in a given region to be packaged into nucleosomes.
