- Definition
- A biological process phenotype in which the specificity between a meiotic driver gene and a drive suppressor gene differs from that observed when both genes are wild type. Meiotic drive results in the unequal transmission of alleles, haplotypes, or chromosomes from a parental genome to such that are unequally represented (i.e. the \"driver\" is overrepresented) among the surviving products of meiosis.
