- Definition
- A cell phenotype observed in the vegetative growth phase of the life cycle in which the localization of a protein to nuclear exosome foci is decreased. Nuclear exosome foci, also called Mmi1 foci, are small structures that form within the nucleus, and contain proteins involved in degrading meiosis-specific RNAs during the mitotic cell cycle, such as Mmi1, Iss10, and Red1.
