A phenotype observed in the vegetative growth phase of the life cycle in which cells show increased sensitivity to a combination of potassium chloride and sodium dodecyl sulfate. Cells stop growing (and may die) at concentrations of potassium chloride and sodium dodecyl sulfate that allow wild type cells to grow.
