Term summary

ID
FYPO:0010052
Name
increased histone H4-K5 acetylation at subtelomeric chromatin knob during vegetative growth
Ontology or CV name
Phenotype
Definition
A cellular process phenotype observed in the vegetative growth phase of the life cycle in which acetylation of lysine at position 5 of histone H4 in chromatin knobs at subtelomeric regions occurs to a greater extent than normal. Chromatin knobs are highly condensed chromatin bodies that are distinct from subtelomeric heterochromatin (observed on chromosomes 1 and 2).
