Term summary

ID
FYPO:0010053
Name
increased histone H4-K12 acetylation at subtelomeric chromatin knob during vegetative growth
Ontology or CV name
Phenotype
Definition
A cellular process phenotype observed in the vegetative growth phase of the life cycle in which acetylation of lysine at position 12 of histone H4 in chromatin knobs at subtelomeric regions occurs to a greater extent than normal. Chromatin knobs are highly condensed chromatin bodies that are distinct from subtelomeric heterochromatin (observed on chromosomes 1 and 2).
